MADISON – After months of recovery, a student injured in the Abundant Life Christian School shooting last December has left the hospital and is back at home.
UW-Health confirmed to WTMJ the student, identified by the school as River, has been discharged as of Thursday.
A second student remains in the hospital, but has been steadily improving and is now in good condition. Four others who were hospitalized have since been released.

A student and a teacher were killed in the December 16th shooting before the shooter turned the gun on herself.
Police have still not publicly identified a motive for the shooting.
