Student athletes at University of Wisconsin-Madison will be adding a new look to their uniforms when they return to action.
The uniforms will now include a university crest logo with a black ‘W’ in a “sign of solidarity with Black and other underrepresented communities on campus.”
Athletic Director Barry Alveraz signaled his support for the move.
“There is plenty of work to do, but I am pleased we will be able to show our support in a way that is important to our student-athletes,” Alveraz said in a statement.
