President Trump says he expects the process to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to move quickly, and that his nomination is expected to be a woman.
The remarks were Mr. Trump’s first public comments since a statement of admiration for Justice Ginsburg, who died Friday, apart from a tweet Saturday in which Mr. Trump said he had an “obligation, without delay” to select a replacement.
UW-Madison law professor Ryan Owens told TMJ4 news that he believes Trump is looking closely at Diane Sykes of Wisconsin, as a potential candidate.
Sykes is the Chief United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and former Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court
