A life as a performer of many beloved pop/rock songs in the 1980’s has ended.
Eddie Money has died after a battle with cancer of the esophagus, according to Variety Magazine. He was 70 years old.
“The Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning,” said his family in a statement cited by Variety.
“It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.”
Some of his songs that became part of the pop/rock landscape include “Baby Hold On,” “I Wanna Go Back,” “Shakin,” “Take Me Home Tonight” and “Two Tickets to Paradise.”
