MILWAUKEE- Milwaukee Police have made an arrest after a 5 year old girl was shot in the leg.
The shooting happened around 10:45 Thursday morning near 44th and West Keefe Avenue on Milwaukee’s north side. Police say they believe it stemmed from a road rage incident between two men.
Security camera footage shows the incident as it unfolded. A silver sedan and a green van can be seen driving near one another when a man gets out of the van, exchanges words with the driver of the silver car and then opens fire on the sedan.
Milwaukee Police say the young girl was the sole passenger in the silver vehicle, which was driven by her father.
Police say they’ve arrested a 35 year old man in Milwaukee they believe to be connected to the shooting. His identity has not been released to the public and charges have yet to be filed.
The girl was grazed in the leg by the bullet and is expected to make a full recovery.
