Milwaukee firefighters were called to a house fire at 42nd and W Burleigh around 11:35 Friday evening. The fire was extinguished but the fire reportedly re-ignited five hours later around 4:30 Saturday morning. The fire department returned to the house to find a second fire burning on the second floor. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is believed to be caused by an electrical issue.
Also, around 7:45 Saturday morning the M-F-D called to a fire on the third floor of an apartment building at 29th and W. Wisconsin avenue. The fire was contained to just a single unit in the building not affecting other residents. However, residents were displaced by the fire. The cause is still under investigation.
