The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission has unanimously upheld the firing of an embattled Milwaukee police officer.
Erik Andrade was fired after he made several controversial social media posts after the arrest of Milwaukee Bucks player Sterling Brown. Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales said the posts impacted Andrade’s credibility, and that he could not be counted on to testify in court for high-profile cases.
Andrade’s defense argued that he should not have been fired over the posts, citing Andrade’s numerous other accomplishments on the force.
