An experienced late-season pickup for the Milwaukee Bucks will be out for the rest of the 2019 postseason.
The Bucks announced that Pau Gasol will miss the remaining rounds of Milwaukee’s chase for a world title, as he had surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot.
The Bucks called it successful surgery. Dr. Robert Anderson repaired the foot in Green Bay with Bucks team physician Dr. William Raasch.
The team expects him to recover in time for training camp.
Milwaukee signed Gasol on March 3, giving the young Bucks the experience of two NBA championships and six All-Star appearances.
