“Play ball!”
It’s the call most baseball fans dream of, when baseball returns in early spring – the first sign of summer.
Thanks to coronavirus, it hasn’t happened.
Will it this year? In any way, ,shape or form, even if we don’t attend games in person in 2020?
Wisconsin’s Afternoon News asked Brewers TV announces Brian Anderson and Bill Schroeder for their thoughts Tuesday:
ANDERSON: “I don’t know. A percentage? Rob Manfred said he is extremely confident there will be games. I’ll say 100 percent that there will be some version of games. What that looks like, I have no idea. I’ll back it down to 90 to give myself some room.”
SCHROEDER: “It’s going to be interesting to see if baseball decides to play with no fans. The way to get back to baseball the quickest, that would be the way to go. I would put it at 100% that baseball is going to be played sometime.”
“They’ve got to make sure it’s safe. The players have to agree to it.”
“I’m thinking around the All-Star break, we’re going to be seeing some action.”
