MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a two-car collision that left one woman seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday near N. 6th Street and W. Wisconsin Avenue when a 26-year-old man ran a red light and struck another vehicle, causing it to flip on its side.
The driver of the vehicle hit a 29-year-old woman, who was partially ejected from the vehicle and was trapped. She had to be extricated and taken to a local hospital for serious injuries. Police say she is in critical condition.
Three others were also in the vehicle that was hit, a 28-year-old woman, a 34-year-old man and a 26-year-old man. They all suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Criminal charges are expected next week.
