The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says that the suspect has been charged in the case involving shots fired on a Milwaukee freeway .
The Sheriff says Jose Marmolejo, 22, was driving the vehicle from which someone fired shots Sunday morning.
He faces charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.

An investigation is ongoing regarding shots fired in a west-side Milwaukee neighborhood Sunday morning.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says they got word around 10:26 a.m. of shots fired on the southbound on-ramp to Highway 175 at West Lisbon Avenue. At about the same time, they got word of multiple homes in the 22-hundred block of North 47th Street that were struck by gunfire.
Sheriff’s deputies and Milwaukee Police responded to the scene, and multiple bullet casings were found on the on-ramp. As of 3 p.m. Sunday, they have not found anyone who was injured by gunfire.
In a statement, Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell Lucas said the investigation is in its early stages to find and apprehend those responsible. He adds, “the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office will exhaust every measure to bring to justice those responsible for this offense and work to ensure the safety of the motoring public along our freeway system.”
