A Milwaukee Police officer has been involved in a shooting Monday afternoon.
It happened at about 12:15 p.m. at the corner of North 35th and West Clarke Streets on the city’s north side.
Police say a suspect had a gun, and officers approached the subject.
An officer struck the suspect, a 42-year-old man who is being treated for injuries at a local hospital. Police do not believe the injuries are life-threatening.
The officer was unhurt. That officer is 38 years old and has 13 years experience with MPD.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
