The State of Wisconsin has setup a new web site to help people in the state find coronavirus testing sites.
The site, part of the Department of Health Services COVID-19 section, includes a map near the bottom part of the page. It shows 13 test sites (as of late Wednesday afternoon) that have been set up, including two so far in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Each listing is expected to give open times, contact information and information on setting up an appointment.
“To turn the dial in Wisconsin, we have to test everyone with symptoms,” said DHS Secretary-designee Andrea Palm in a statement.
“From there, we move to contact tracing and getting those exposed to the virus into quarantine. Anyone with symptoms that include cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell please call your doctor and get tested.”
The state plans to set up more sites for community testing in areas with higher concentrations of COVID-19 cases and in areas that don’t have testing available.
