The Green Bay Packers will be missing one of their 2019 draft picks.
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com says that the Packers have placed tight end Jace Sternberger on injured reserve. He is currently battling an ankle injury.
If the Packers choose, they could bring him back after Week 8. They are allowed to bring back two players off injured reserve during the season.
The Packers chose Sternberger in the third round of the 2019 draft from Texas A&M.
He was a transfer from Kansas who sat out the 2017 season, but in his last year (2018), he caught 48 passes for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns.
