A division title is at stake this Monday, as the Packers head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings.
“What a great opportunity to put a wrap on the NFC North,” says head coach Matt LaFleur. “That was the goal all along.”
The 11-3 Packers are preparing to take on a very well-balanced Vikings football team.
“They’re great in all three phases,” adds LaFleur.
“You look at the offense, they’ve been extremely efficient all year long. They’re running the crap out of the football. They’ve got weapons on the outside. And then their defense, when I put the tape on, I’m not seeing a whole lot of big plays happening against this defense. They’re a defense that’s been together for awhile now. I think Mike Zimmer does as good as anybody in this game in terms of giving you different looks and trying to keep an offense off-balanced. And then you look at their special teams, their special teams are dangerous as well.”
As for the pressure of a high-stake game, LaFleur says they just have to put their best on the field.
“There’s pressure every week. I think you just gotta do the best job you can, knowing that you prepared the right way. If you know in your heart that you did everything you could do every week going into that game, that takes a lot of pressure off of you. And I love the way of team comes to work each and every week.”
