MILWAUKEE — Welcome to Football Food Picks with Chef Adam Pawlak; a weekly segment on Wisconsin’s Afternoon News in which co-host Greg Matzek prepares a dish related to the NFL city of Green Bay’s next opponent before a critique at the hands of a professional chef.
Chef Pawlak, a Milwaukee resident known to the community as Owner and Head Chef at Egg & Flour Pasta Bar, moved into the national realm as a contestant on season 19 of the critically acclaimed Gordon Ramsay-led cooking show, “Hell’s Kitchen.” He was also on the Food Network’s “Super Chef Grudge Match.”
To kick off the 2023 NFL season, Matzek created a Chicago Bears-inspired Frankenwurst for Chef Pawlak to try. All things considered, it was a positive review with Matzek scoring higher than initially expected despite giving much of the credit to the Vienna Beef quality of his concoction.
