The former Boston Store location at Bayshore Town Center in Glendale will become the home of another major national retailer.
Target will move into the 128,000 square foot, two-story space at a time to be determined, a spokesperson for Bayshore said in a news release.
Construction has begun on the new location, which takes over the southeastern part of the mall building near the Lydell Avenue parking lot at the shopping complex.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Target as an anchor tenant of the new and revitalized Bayshore,” said Kirk Williams, managing director for Cypress Equities in the news release.
“From day one we have done our best to listen to the community and respond to the shopping, dining and entertainment experiences that they desire, and Target remained at the top of their list and ours.”
The move is among steps being taken to help mitigate the loss of numerous retail outlets and revitalize the open-air shopping and entertainment center.
