The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has announced its plans and procedures to welcome students and staff back to campus for the fall semester while combating the spread of COVID-19.
The school will operated its regularly planned schedule, starting on September 2.
The plan includes:
– Mixed in-person and online learning, with most in-person classes limited to 25 students
– Faculty having the ability to switch to online only if events warrant
– Face masks required in buildings and outside where physical distancing is not possible
– Freshmen not required to live on campus
– Expanded cleaning efforts
– Physical distancing in classrooms
– Single and double dorm room setups
– Contactless service for campus dining
– “Strict enforcement of health and behavioral guidelines”
Employees will begin returning this month and in July, based on their role on the campus.
