Brown County authorities had to arrest and use a stun gun on former Green Bay Packers defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila on Tuesday, according to a report.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette says that he was detained after resisting arrest.
The report says the arrest happened during a court proceeding in his divorce case. He allegedly refused to sign a legal document in the case.
A judge then reportedly gave him a six month sentence for refusal to sign. About 10 sheriff’s deputies then allegedly attempted to get him to sign the arrest order, but he refused.
At that time, the report says that a stun gun was used on him, and he was then given handcuffs.
During the court hearing, he allegedly quoted the Old Testament to defend his belief “that the civil court had no jurisdiction over him.”
“I have my own laws which are superior,” Gbaja-Biamila reportedly told the judge.
