Perhaps the largest and most important international athletic event ever held in the state of Wisconsin is being delayed a year after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Telegraph, based in the UK, reports that the Ryder Cup is ‘expected to be postponed’ after the worldwide outbreak of coronavirus.
It has been scheduled for late September at Whistling Straits in Sheboygan County – a host of numerous PGA Championships in recent years.
There are major concerns for international travel leading to greater coronavirus concerns. This may be the latest major event on the sports schedule to be rescheduled due to the outbreak.
