Packers fans , your plans for September 5, 2019 have been made.
The NFL’s 100th season will kick off with the rivalry between the two teams which have engaged the most-played rivalry in the sport’s history, the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.
Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo :
NFL announces #Packers at #Bears will be the Thursday night opener for the 100th NFL season.

Kickoff is scheduled for that game at 7:20 p.m.
The teams will meet at Soldier Field in a prime time showdown usually reserved for the defending Super Bowl champions, but the NFL made this exception for the kickoff of the league’s century season.
It will be the 199th meeting between the teams including regular and postseason contests, meaning that if they play two regular season and one playoff game, they will end the 100th NFL season with 200 total matchups.
The Packers own a 97-95-7 series lead.
