WEST ALLIS, Wis.— A vehicle pursuit late Thursday night ended in a crash, sending two people to the hospital.
Officers attempted to stop a car near 70th Street and Washington Avenue around 11:45 p.m., but the driver did not comply. Stop sticks were deployed near 70th and Greenfield Avenue, but the car continued fleeing.
The vehicle eventually lost control and crashed near Leonox Street. Both the 19-year-old driver and a female passenger were transported to the hospital for treatment for their injuries.
The driver was arrested and faces multiple charges, including fleeing an officer, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, and operating while intoxicated causing great bodily harm. The condition of the passenger has not yet been released.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
