MILWAUKEE — The man wanted in connection with a Christmas Day double homicide is now in custody.
18-year-old Jeremiah Taylor has been on the run since December. He was arrested Tuesday by South Milwaukee Police after a brief chase in Cudahy.
Taylor is charged with 2 felony counts of 1st degree reckless homicide for shooting and killing 2 people in a parked car on Christmas Day.
According to the criminal complaint, Taylor was riding a black Malibu around Noon near 37th and Scott on Milwaukee’s west side that deliberately slowed down enough for him to shoot 2 people in a parked white Kia as they drove past. The Kia then rolled forward and crashed into a parked car.
15-year-old Exziel Rivera died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest at the scene. 18-year-old Nayah Vasquez died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest later at the hospital.
The man driving the Kia told police that “prior to the shooting there had been bad blood between
[his] friend group and Taylor’s friend group.”
The black Malibu, driven by 18-year-old Quintarez Morris, was eventually found burnt in Dineen Park. The original owner of the car said she was in process of selling the car to Morris, who later admitted to her that he was driving the car involved in the shooting, and that his passenger Taylor admitted to being the shooter.
Morris pled guilty to felony harboring and aiding a felon in June. He is serving five years in prison with an additional five years of supervision afterwards.

If convicted on all charges, Taylor faces up to 130 years in prison.
