In Jonestown, Texas: Michael Crowder was on his way to work when he saw raging floodwaters beginning to take over a home.
Despite emergency dispatchers advising the family to stay put, Crowder knew they needed to evacuate immediately.
“The house was making noise, trees were coming down, and water was rushing under the house,” he explained to ABC News. “I told dispatch, ‘Send help or not, I have work to do.'”
The family’s home sustained major damage, but the mother calls Crowder an ‘Angel on this earth.’
