Two months after leaving the Milwaukee Police Department following his demotion from Chief to Captain, Alfonso Morales spoke with Wisconsin’s Afternoon News about a lawsuit against the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission that could have him reinstated to his former position.
Highlights from the interview include:
- Morales says he would take back the Chief position if it was offered to him, but his biggest concern for the department currently is who is actually leading the department; those in the top ranks or the Fire and Police Commission.
- As for his time as Chief, Morales says he did his best.
- Morales is happy to have additional time with his family, but sad that his departure happened the way that it did, blaming elected officials at City Hall.
