The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner has identified the victim of a deadly reckless driving crash on Milwaukee’s north side.
James Larson, 22, was killed in the crash near the corner of North 6th and West Locust Streets on Thursday at about 4:45 p.m.
Larson was a passenger in a Honda Pilot which was traveling about 60 miles per hour on 6th Street, which has a speed limit of 25 miles per hour. According to the Medical Examiner, Larson had stretched his upper body through a window and was hanging out of the vehicle when it crashed.
As the car Larson was traveling went through the corner of 6th and Locust, it struck a Mini Cooper.
A Milwaukee Police investigator said that Larson was not ejected from the vehicle.
Two others were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital.
The driver was arrested and criminal charges will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
According to the Medical Examiner, the suspect tested positive for COVID-19.
