A fifth night of demonstrations following the death of George Floyd grew tense in Milwaukee Tuesday.
Milwaukee Police say the reason they moved to end protests was, in part, because protesters began throwing, rocks, bottles of water, and even molotov cocktails at them.
At approximately 8:08 p.m., on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in the area near 6th and McKinley, an individual threw a molotov cocktail at uniformed police officers. Thankfully it did not ignite. If anyone has any information regarding this incident they are asked to call MPD at pic.twitter.com/uEm6T6w0nK

Anyone with information is being asked to call MPD at 414-935-7360 or Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS.
President Trump has taken to Twitter to react to the news.

Protesters within the group, including former Milwaukee County Democratic Chairman Sachin Chheda, dispute the department’s claim, saying officers acted first.
More demonstrations are expected to take place Wednesday.
