Numerous elective surgery and imaging procedures have re-started at Aurora Health Care after having been paused due to concerns involving the coronavirus pandemic.
WTMJ news partner Milwaukee Business Journal also reports they are letting patients now they can return for some procedures and appointments.
“This is not going to be a flip of the switch,” Advocate Aurora Health chief nursing officer Mary Beth Kingston said to the Milwaukee Business Journal. “This reactivation is going to be a slow turning of the dial.”
She said there would be various dates of re-opening for specific types of procedures and services.
Medical teams will conduct COVID-19 tests on any patient participating in elective surgery, according to the report.
