A 19-year-old accused of assaulting a UW Milwaukee student earlier this week has been charged with disorderly conduct.
A criminal complaint alleges Jaelen Durham grabbed a woman from behind on the 3200 block of North Oakland Avenue on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.
He reportedly picked the woman up and threw her over his shoulder before she began screaming, and he put her back down.
The woman ran to a business across the street where he allegedly followed her and then started pacing back and forth in front of the building.
If convicted, he faces up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Police are still investigating a separate incident that happened one day earlier in which a different UW Milwaukee student was reportedly assaulted from behind.
A pre-trial conference for Durham has been scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2019.
