Flooding in the Fond du Lac River has led to issues in that city’s downtown area, particularly from localized flooding on the river’s west branch.

The Fond du Lac Fire Department has gone door-to-door asking people to voluntarily leave their homes due to the flooding.
Civic leaders there say much of the issue has involved snow and ice from the most recent heavy winter storms.
Crews are trying to break ice jams in the area which could help with alleviating the flooding.

The department says people in Fond du Lac can also call 211 if they are impacted by the flooding.
