Bright news for Badger fans out of San Antonio on Saturday.
Highly anticipated four-star quarterback recruit Graham Mertz claimed MVP honors and threw a bowl record five touchdown passes in the 2019 All-American Bowl on Saturday in San Antonio Texas.
A tweet by the All-American Bowl twitter account recounts the first half record broken on Saturday.

Mertz helped the East defeat the West in a 48-14 win in a showcase of the best high school talent across the nation. Mertz also completed 7 of 14 passes with no interceptions totaling 188 yards.
Mertz will be in Madison next week as a midyear enrollee.
