Two men who starred for college basketball teams in our state have been named among the ten best men to play the sport in America.
The Associated Press has named both Marquette guard Markus Howard and Wisconsin forward Ethan Happ to the All-American Second Team.

Howard, a junior and John Wooden Award finalist, averaged 25.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game in helping Marquette reach the NCAA Tournament and finish second in the Big East. He finished fifth in the country in points per game, ninth in free throw percentage.
Happ, a senior and fellow Wooden Award finalist, scored 17.3 points and tallied 10.1 rebounds and 4.5 points per game.
These five men beat Howard and Happ out, including one player who helped eliminate Marquette from the NCAA’s.
