MILWAUKEE – Police say a parking checker has been beaten and stabbed in Milwaukee, while two suspects have been taken into custody.
It happened about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of North 67th Street and West Villard Avenue on the city’s northwest side.
The parking enforcement officer was issuing a citation when he was confronted by two suspects.
The confrontation escalated and the suspects began to physically assault the parking enforcement officer by punching and kicking him multiple times.
During the assault, one of the suspects stabbed the parking enforcement officer.
He was able to free himself, return to his vehicle and drive to a nearby police station where he received medical help.
He was then transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries and is listed in stable condition.
The victim is described as a 60-year-old male and a veteran of parking enforcement.
