MILWAUKEE – A bus crash into a tree on Milwaukee’s north side leaves multiple people with injuries.
MCTS tells WTMJ at approximately 6:53am, a bus was traveling south along the BlueLine on West Fond Du Lac Avenue approaching Center Street when it made contact with a vehicle.
Milwaukee Police say five vehicles in total were involved in the crash. The 38-year-old driver of the MCTS bus sustained injuries and was conveyed to the hospital for treatment. A bus passenger who was in their late 50’s sustained suspected injuries and was also taken to the hospital. The remaining passengers on Unit #1 left the scene prior to police arrival.
The drivers of three of the other four vehicles are all recovering from their own injuries, while the driver of the fifth driver did not receive treatment.
The circumstances that led up to the crash are under investigation.
