Florida lawmakers and donors are making a final push to convince Tom Perez and the Democratic National Committee to select Miami as the destination for the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
Milwaukee is one of three cities rumored to be considered for next year's political event, along with Miami and Houston. Most experts say Houston is a long-shot, however.
According to an article in Politico, many Democratic donors are backing South Beach as the destination for the 2020 DNC.
“How do you get the donor to dig deeper? Show him a good time,” said Joe Falk, a major South Florida donor. “The donors are here and we know how to treat donors. We have the facilities to make those incredibly wealthy people comfortable. And we know how to throw a good party.”
