Just when members of the Milwaukee Police Department thought the healing process could begin, there was news of yet another tragic death of one of their own.
Milwaukee Police Officer Kou Her was killed early Tuesday morning when a driver ran a red light and struck Her’s vehicle. Her was off-duty at the time and was on his way home after finishing a shift at the District 4 police station.
“It’s extremely difficult to say the least,” Milwaukee Police Association President Shawn Lauda tells WTMJ’s John Mercure. “Obviously we’ve dealt with a lot of loss in the last year.”
Lauda was a guest on Wiscosnin’s Afternoon News Tuesday. Listen to the entire conversation above.
