MILWAUKEE — Houston Rockets guard and former league MVP James Harden is once again calling out Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In an interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols, Harden appears to take a shot Antetokounmpo’s playing style saying his syle of play takes “no skill at all.”
Harden is one of the most prolific scorers the NBA has ever seen, however his take comes off quite defensive.
“I wish I could just run and be 7 feet and just dunk. Like that takes no skill at all,” Harden said. “I have to actually learn how to play basketball and have skill,” Harden added.
Many believe his comments stem off of Antetokounmpo’s “passing” comment made during the NBA All-Star Draft. The Greek Freak did not draft Harden because he wants someone that “is going to pass the ball.”
The reigning league MVP responded to Harden’s comments in an interview with ESPN saying he “never tried to take shots at somebody.”
Harden is the league’s leading scorer, averaging 35.2 points per game. Antetokounmpo is fourth on that list at 29.7 ppg and fourth in rebounding at 13.7 per game.
