A member of the Milwaukee Brewers' 2018 playoff squad, brought in from Baltimore during the stretch run, is now a Minnesota Twin.
Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic reported that the Twins were “finalizing” a one-year contract with Jonathan Schoop. The contract is reportedly more than $7 million for the season.
Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY said shortly afterward the teams signed their deal.
In 46 regular season games with Milwaukee, Schoop batted .202 for a .577 OPS, 4 home runs and 21 RBI.
