The Packers made official the fact that new head coach Matt LaFleur will keep continuity on the defensive side of the football.
Green Bay announced that Mike Pettine will remain the team’s defensive coordinator for the second straight year.
Under Pettine, the Packers improved to 22nd in scoring defense (26th in 2017), 18th in total defense (22nd in 2017) and 12th in NFL pass defense (23rd in 2017).
He previously had been a head coach with the Cleveland Browns in 2014-15 and a coordinator for the Jets and Bills (2009-13 combined).
