A post-season lost to coronavirus does not mean the loss of accolades for the top scorer in Marquette University and Big East basketball history.
Markus Howard, a senior guard at Marquette University, has been named first-team All-American by the Associated Press.
Howard led NCAA Division I in scoring (27.8 points per game).
Howard is the 21st-ranked total scorer in NCAA Division I history, and also ranks seventh in three-pointers.
This is the fifth time a Marquette player has been named first-team All-American, after:
– Dean Meminger (1971)
– Jim Chones (1972)
– Butch Lee (1978)
– Dwyane Wade (2003)
