If you purchased an evergreen decoration for the Christmas holiday, you are being asked to burn it or bag them and throw them away once its taken down.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says the invasive insect elongate hemlock scale was found in items sold at large chain stores.
If not disposed of, the insect will spread and cause evergreens to possibly suffer destruction.
