In a series of one-on-one video interviews, the Wisconsin Alliance for Retired Americans asked candidates for governor about the issues facing older Wisconsinites before the August primary election. These candidates include Democratic candidates Joel Brennan, David Crowley, Francesca Hong, Kelda Roys, and Republican Andy Manske; Republican Tom Tiffany did not respond to the invitation to be interviewed.
Ross Winklbauer, President of the Wisconsin Alliance for Retired Americans, joins WTMJ’s Steve Scaffidi and Kristin Brey. Brey assisted Winklbauer in conductingsome of the interviews. . “We created this interview series to bring those conversations together in one place, making it easier to compare the candidates’ ideas and priorities.”
Issues discussed include reserving affordable access to healthcare, protecting older adults from online scams, and expanding transportation options, among others.
