U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany told Wisconsin’s Afternoon News that President Donald Trump gave no advance notice before endorsing his run for governor, calling the surprise backing “a good thing” but insisting the race will stay focused on Wisconsin issues.
Tiffany argued Trump’s endorsement won’t hurt him in a general election, saying voters are more concerned about education outcomes, high energy costs, and rising property taxes. He pledged to roll back regulations, lower energy prices, and freeze property taxes if elected, while criticizing policies of Gov. Tony Evers.
