UPDATE at 10:30 a.m. on 12/4/2025: The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office confirms that the 33-year-old man driving the car in a suspected hit-and-run crash has turned himself in.
Investigators found the vehicle–suspected to be a blue sedan–and the driver late on December 3.
There has been no update on the conditions of the two pedestrians who were hurt, identified now as a 64-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman. Both were taken to local hospitals and receiving treatment for serious injuries.
The investigation remains active.
VILLAGE OF MERTON, Wis. — Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a driver after two pedestrians were seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash in Merton Tuesday night.
The hit-and-run happened near Huntington St. and Main St. around 8:45 p.m. A blue sedan traveling northbound on Main St. struck a man and a woman, both 64 years old.
The sheriff’s office is asking for help finding the car that fled the scene. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Samuel Yanke.
