GERMANTOWN, Wis.– A major intersection in Germantown is closed after flooding covered the roadway and surrounding areas Wednesday morning.
County Line Road at Riversbend Lane is blocked off as firefighters work to pump water out of the area. Water has spilled into nearby parking lots, including those serving Starbucks, Jimmy John’s, and Buffalo Wild Wings. The businesses themselves appeared dry, but access to the area are limited.
In some spots, water is gushing from underground, sending streams shooting into the air. Orange barricades and detours are in place to keep drivers out of the worst-hit areas. Falls Parkway is also closed off due to flooding.
There is no word yet on when the road will reopen. Drivers are urged to avoid the area until the flooding recedes.
