After starting deliberations this afternoon which continued until after 8PM, the jury in the Darrell Brooks homicide trial will return tomorrow morning at 8:30.
The jury requested to view evidence presented by the state including video of the red SUV striking members of the Dancing Grannies.
Jurors deliberated for about 90 minutes.
Brooks and District Attorney Sue Opper made their closing arguments on Tuesday, with Brooks again ending up in a conflict with Judge Jennifer Dorrow. This time, it was over Brooks’ insistence to speak to the jury about the concept of jury nullification.
Court was also brought in session to address a Reddit post from someone who claimed to be a juror on the trial. Judge Dorrow left that in the hands of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s office to investigate.
That post has since been edited to claim it was a hoax.
