It’s election day in Wisconsin. Republicans and Democrats are running in dozens of primary races across Southeast Wisconsin Tuesday.
The most high profile races are for the Republican nomination for Governor and the Democratic nomination for US Senate. There are also primary races for Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, and Wisconsin Attorney General. Voters in Milwaukee County, Waukesha County, & Kenosha County will also elect a new sheriff.

The race for Wisconsin Governor will be between incumbent Tony Evers and Republican nominee Tim Michels. Michels won the primary race for Governor Tuesday after his opponent Rebecca Kleefisch conceded the race just after 10 o’clock Tuesday night.
Kleefisch spoke to supporters for just over three minutes, thanking them for their support and, “leaving it all on the field.”

Denita Ball has won the Democratic primary to become the next Milwaukee County Sheriff. Ball was in a 3-way primary to replace Sheriff Earnell Lucas after Lucas decided not to run for reelection.

Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes has been projected as the winner of the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. He was the frontrunner in the race since entering more than a year ago and was all but guaranteed a win tonight after all of his major primary opponents dropped out last month. Barnes will take on incumbent Republican Senator Ron Johnson in November.
