MILWAUKEE- A week short of the one year anniversary of 2-year-old Noelani Robinson’s body was found in a ditch in Minnesota, her father, Dariaz Higgins is now charged in her death.
Higgins was charged this morning with second degree murder- without intent. A Class-C felony charge that could result in 40 years in prison.
Higgins is currently in custody facing homicide charges in the death of the girl’s mother, Sierra Robinson. Robinson was found shot to death near 91st and Mill in Milwaukee on March 11th, 2019. If found guilty of Robinson’s murder he could be sentenced to life in prison.
The toddler was the subject of a mult-day, multi-state Amber Alert last year when she, and her father, went missing. Robinson’s body was eventually discovered several days later, in a ditch, in rural Minnesota.
Higgins told police that the girl fell off a toilet while the two were at a motel in Minnesota and died.
