MILWAUKEE- Summerfest isn’t resting on the success of 51 years ahead of kicking off year number 52 next month.
Billed as the world’s largest music festival, Summerfest on Thursday offered a preview of new merchandise, and food, for sale this upcoming year. New and expanded partnerships include Pizza Man, Belair Cantina, Sal’s Express and Sil’s Mini Donuts.
It’s not just consumables that are new this year; the American Family Insurance Amphitheater is also midway through a multi-year renovation project. Summerfest VP of Entertainment Bob Babisch:
The renovation work will continue after Summerfest wraps up this year including changes to upper and lower bowl seating.
In addition to physical work being done on the festival grounds, fifty-two years into the festival game, Babisch says they’re also constantly finding ways to remain relevant and to differentiate themselves from the countless other music festivals that crop up around the country.
