After numerous reports that Shopko was going to take numerous steps to close specific store locations, the Green Bay-based company announced Monday it will close all its stores permanently.
In a news release, Shopko said they could not find a buyer for its business moving forward.
The company also said it will be “evaluating strategic options for its optical business.”

“This is not the outcome that we had hoped for when we started our restructuring efforts,” said Russ Steinhorst, Chief Executive Officer, in the news release.
“We want to thank all of our teammates for their hard work and dedication during their time at Shopko.”
